Skills Training for Children and Families

Options’ Skills Trainers mentor and teach children and their families the skills needed to be successful in their lives.  Skills trainers may work with children to assist them in areas such as managing their emotions and learning positive ways to interact with others. Skills Trainers work with the child’s care giver as well to provide support and mentoring in developing new parenting skills and techniques that help their children be more successful.   Options skills trainers teach and mentor in children’s homes, schools, Head Start programs and other community locations relevant to the child and family.
